Get It Done Club & IAPMD Fundraiser
Get It Done Club is a networking event aimed at women in business who are seeking to connect with others but struggling to find the time to do it all.
Come along to a relaxed and friendly atmosphere in the new Mini-Market area (opposite the Cheshire Farm Ice Cream stall) where there’ll be opportunities to connect and network, plus allocated time to get working on projects of yours that keep taking a back seat.
This event is a fundraiser for the International Association for Premenstrual Disorders iapmdglobal who do amazing work globally to raise awareness of Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder (PMDD), and support those living with the condition.
PMDD is a cyclical, hormone-based mood disorder with severe psychological symptoms arising during the premenstrual, or luteal phase of the menstrual cycle and subsiding within a few days of menstruation. It affects an estimated 5.5% of women and AFAB individuals of reproductive age.
PMDD is a perfect storm of mental health stigma and period shame so unsurprisingly, it remains a taboo subject, and because of a lack of understanding both in society and the medical world, it often goes undiagnosed or misdiagnosed as something else.
Organised by Laura Teare-Jones who is living with premenstrual dysphoric disorder, who believes that the work that the IAPMD does is not only vital – it’s life saving, and as an IAPMD associate, is really proud to be bringing PMDD Awareness to Chester.
The fee for attending this event is donation based and all money raised will help IAPMD on their mission to inspire hope and end suffering for those affected by premenstrual disorders – people like Laura – through care and support, education and awareness, research, and advocacy.
