AT Fest 2024

This year’s Active Travel Festival will take place in Exchange Square, Town Hall Square and in the Market on Sunday 16^th June from 10am to 4pm.

Don’t miss a great day out and learn more about Active Travel, with information stands from local cycling, walking and health groups, bike stunt shows, Dr Bike checks, Police bike marking, live music and more.

We will be hosting 2 Puncture Repair Challenges with the opportunity to win free a bike repair kit if you can mend a puncture faster than your challenger! Taking place at 11:45 and 2:30 on stage in the Market, plus live music performed by Sol from the Bike Factory.

Bike stunt shows in Exchange Square will be at 11am, 1pm and 3pm.

What is Active Travel?

Walking, cycling and wheeling – what we collectively call ‘active travel’ – simply means making journeys in physically active ways.

Aimed at all ages and abilities the ACTIVE TRAVEL FESTIVAL or ATFest will be fun and informative, with the purpose to promote active travel as the natural choice for those short journeys: to school, work or the shops.
